About the Collection:

The Lille fabric line, Michelle Yeo's second fabric collection with Henry Glass, was inspired by her love of antique quilts and the fabrics within them, in particular French fabrics. The main fabric, which was inspired by a French textile from the past, is available in 3 colors and features stunning birds perched on tree branches surrounded by gorgeous flowers. It is an ideal fabric to cut up and rearrange creatively into Broderie Perse appliqué, as well as being used within blocks, setting squares and borders. The secondary floral print is reproduced from an early 1800s French fabric. The fine vine within this print, from which a variety of striking flowers grow, meanders whimsically throughout the fabric. Six beautiful companion prints in coordinating colors. Included in the coordinates is a pretty serpentine stripe, one of Michelle’s favorites. The stripe adds a bit of movement and it completes the collection. It is a lovely print that will enhance any quilt. The fabric collection was named ‘Lille’ after the beautiful, historic town in the north of France, near the Belgian border. This is where Michelle spent a fantastic time sampling the French cuisine and wandering the streets with a treasured Belgian friend, Françoise, who shares Michelle’s love of textiles and quilting.
